So many things have happened in the world and also in Patagonia in the last 12 months, that we are wondering what is next, at least what is going to happen to us, and it takes us to many thoughts such as what are we doing to grow, for our society, as a company, as individuals and more…
Autumn in Patagonia

Autumn in Patagonia is a well kept secret! I have always heard that you must visit Maine, USA, to see the autumn colours, this is just as beautiful or more because the mountains add a very dramatic touch to the scenery.
The days are slightly shorter, the sun at midday is warm and the cold nights invite for a warm fireplace, glass of wine and good book.

Una tarde de cabalgata / An afternoon ride

Un amigo me enviá estas fotos de una tarde de cabalgata en Lolog esta semana!
Estoy con Carmelo, muchos de ustedes que visitaron Lolog, sabrán que Carmelo es el Encargado del campo y cada vez que salgo con él me lleva por un nuevo sendero.
A friend sent me these photos of an afternoon ride in Lolog.
Next to me is Carmelo. Many of you who have ridden in Lolog, have met Carmelo, he looks after the property, our horses and I really enjoy riding with him because every time he takes me along a new path.
Let me introduce "Amigo" / Les presento a "Amigo"

Let me introduce "Amigo", he came to us last summer, in January, he was alert and very concerned when anyone got close to him. Like saying... "hey wait a minute friend, I am not your friend... why do you want to stroke my neck?... no, no... I don't like you".
Today, almost a year later, he has relaxed, he enjoys a good pat and friendly hug!
Amigo is great, he has a happy and eager walk and is delighted to take you riding.

Yesterday was a perfect day even though the weather conditions were not so good.
As we set off for Lolog in the morning with lunch, it was sunny and fresh the menacing clouds were coming in from Chile, a mixture of cumulus nimbus and lenticulars.
For some reason, in the years I have lived in Patagonia, every time I see lenticular clouds, the weather changes. Wonder why?
Camping trip, February

A super ride! It had adventure, moments to rest, moments to share laughter, walks, a little rain and some wind.
The horses were wonderful, it is so special to be able to bond with your horse over the days! My mare was very difficult to put the bridle on, she did not like her ears to be touched. The last afternoon she let me put the bridle on no problem, was it that she wanted to get home fast?
Looking forward to more rides.
Camping trip

Yesterday we finished a wonderful 5 day ride, a little Lolog and a little camping and lots of laughter and fun!
The horses behaved, the weather was superb, even the ash that the volcano Puyehue is still erupting did not come our way. We enjoyed delicious "asados", picnics and our Cheff Raúl, prepared a superb rissoto over the camp fire.
It was lovely to spend time with so many nice people.
We look forward to the next ride which starts on February 4th, 2012.
